100th Day of School

If you had told me this time last year I would be completing my 100th Day of Teaching Kindergarten, I would have laughed and said, “No, because I am JUST the Music Teacher!” Well… as you can tell I am now the Kindergarten teacher and I LOVE it!

I get the privilege of teaching at a small Christian School in Texas and it is the perfect fit for me! This year in Kindergarten, I have 5 boys! That’s right, ALL boys! And man do I love them! They are perfect and I have loved watching them grow!

The past 99 days have been wonderful and I wanted the 100th day to be perfect! I began to plan the day’s activities and found this awesome pack from Creative Lesson Café on TpT. It was so nice being a first time teacher and my day was planned!

I had made the boys shirts this year. I glue 100 Star Dots (Pom Poms) to all the shirts. We use Star Dots as our classroom management and it has worked wonders for my boys!

When the boys arrived in the classroom, a wall of STREAMERS greeted them! They were so excited! As they walked through they saw lots of balloons and streamers hanging from the ceiling!

We began the day by coloring this awesome hat from KinderCraze! They kept it on the rest of the morning, unless they were painting.

We continued the morning with many activities. We made necklaces with 100 Fruit Loops, made a gum ball machine, painted 100 dots in boxes, 100 Day Snack and graphing activities for 100!

We had a very full day. Our 100 Day Snack was provided by students. Earlier in the week I sent home the Note from the Pack and asked parents to send 100 of a small food item. We collected them, placed them all in a Zip Loc Bag and Mixed it together (this was their favorite part). We had enough for snack and ever some to send home with the students.

We had a blast and they are still talking about it!

The best part of teaching for me is making learning fun. I was able to have fun with my students for the 100th Day and I am thankful for the past 100 days with them!

I love this class!

I am sad there are only 4 months left of school. I am determined to make the most with my students!

I LOVE Kindergarten!
